A Break From Life

My husband had kidney stones that were stuck so he was going into surgery to have them removed. We were all under a lot of stress so we decided to just take a break and get our minds off of it! We went as a family up Payson canyon where we roasted hot dog, made smores, and did some fishing. The kids had a blast! Mason touched his first fish and loved it. Shaylee and Sierra both caught fish and had the chance to real them in all by themselves. It was great to get our mind off of everything and just enjoy time in the mountains as a family. We had to the chance to remember why we are here and the true joys of life.

The next morning my husband went into surgery and it all went well. He is still having some pain but less than it would have been trying to pass the oversizes stone. We are so thankful for the technology and medications they have to cope with such pain.

My beautiful children

Sometimes I just have to take pictures to remind me of why it is all worth while. Kids can be hard sometime, but there is always joys to be found in them.

Mason turns one

Mason was lucky enough to get two birthday parties. He had one on his birthday, June 10th, with just family and friends and another on friday with his grandma, grandpa, and cousins.

Mason is funny, he really did not want anything to do with his cake all he wanted was his mama to hold him, he is such a momies boy! (I hope he will get out of this stage because it sure is driving me crazy!)
